If you're new to ANZ or not registered for ANZ Internet Banking you can apply online now and follow these steps:
- Before you start you need your tax residency details and New Zealand bank account number
- Select ANZ Term Deposit
- Enter the deposit amount (must be at least $10,000)
- Select your term and rate
- Select your interest and maturity instructions
- Enter your personal details
- Review the details and read the ANZ General Terms and Conditions before accepting and clicking Confirm
- You will receive an email with instructions to finalise your term deposit. This may include bringing proof of address and proof of identification into an ANZ branch near you.

If you are an ANZ customer and have ANZ Internet Banking, the quickest way to open a term deposit is to follow these steps:
- Log into ANZ Internet Banking
- Navigate to Apply and open > Open a term investment
- Select ANZ Term Deposit
- Enter the deposit amount (must be at least $10,000) and select the funding account
- Select your term and rate
- Select your interest and maturity instructions
- Confirm your personal details
- Complete the tax information and change your tax details if required
- Review the details and read the ANZ General Terms and Conditions before accepting and click Continue
